Hapro Seecret® Collagen Beds enable your client’s skin to rejuvenate itself continuously in a natural manner. The specially tailored light spectrum stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which leads to visible improvement of the skin.

Skin consists of several layers. The protective outer layer is called the Epidermis or scarf skin. Beneath this is a deeper lying layer called the Dermis or true skin. It is this layer that gives the skin its strength; it consists of a dense structure of connective tissue containing collagen and elastin fibres that keep the skin firm and supple. As we grow older, the production of new cells diminishes, reducing the number of collagen and elastin fibres. As a consequence the skin gradually loses its elasticity, resulting in lines and wrinkles.

Scientists have observed that exposure of the skin to yellow, orange and/or red light leads to higher production of collagen. This works as follows: In addition to collagen and elastin, the skin also contains fibroblasts. These are special cells that synthesize collagen. Light penetrates the skin to a depth of 10 mm, causing the fibroblasts to grow and divide. Production of collagen and elastin are stimulated in this manner, improving the elasticity of the skin.

Hapro Seecret® Collagen Beds stimulates elastin and collagen production in the skin and as a result:

* Acne is a skin disorder in which the sebaceous glands regularly become blocked and/or infected. This results in pimples, blackheads and red blemishes in combination with dry or greasy skin that is oversensitive and easily irritated. Pure visible light at a wave length of 630 nanometres has an anti-inflammatory effect that reduces swelling and fights infections. It stimulates the microcirculation, blood circulation and production of new cells in the skin, which accelerates the healing process and reduces the chance of scarring. The beneficial effect of pure visible light has been clearly demonstrated in clinical studies.

As with all safe and painless skin stimulation methods, a single Hapro Seecret® Collagen Bed session will not immediately improve the skin. Aging of the skin is a process that takes place over many years, so it should be no surprise that it cannot be reversed with just one session lasting several minutes.

To achieve the desired effects and see visible results a series of rejuvenation sessions is required. We recommend that you indulge in 2-3 rejuvenation sessions per week over a period of 10 to 12 weeks. Keep in mind that a 48-hour rest period is required before you begin the next session.

We recommend salons offer Collagen Bed Treatment Packages rather than single sessions as clients will truly start seeing measurable results after about one month and visible results after about three months. After completing a 10-12 week treatment package clients can switch to maintenance sessions once every two weeks.
